Affordable Top 10 Hotels in Baguio under P2K Per Night

affordable baguio hotels under P2k per night

List of affordable hotels and accommodation in Baguio City with rooms available for P2,000 and below per night. Room rates updated as of October 31, 2017.

Baguio is a favorite destination of many, especially during the scorching hot summer months. Long weekends and holidays are also peak time in this highland town. The good thing is that there are lots of accommodations available for all types of budget in the City of Pines.

For big groups and family travelers, there are houses for rent which comes complete with kitchen and cooking facilities. Most of them are around the 4k to 5k+ price range. If you are renting a van to climb to Baguio, your van driver may know of a rental house. Or you may even book a complete package via a travel agency – accommodation plus tours if you want convenience (DIY is of course, cheaper).

There are also super cheap places like the Teachers Camp which can accommodate guests with rates as low as P200 per person per night in their Dormitories (This was the rate when we stayed there in a dorm room last 2007). Not sure what is the rate of Teachers Camp for 2017 to 2018, but am pretty sure it remains low and affordable.

Penfires will update this post if I find verified info about current rate of Teachers Camp and their updated contact and reservation numbers.

One can also book rooms via AirBnB. If you have AirBnB coupons you can score bigger discounts.

If you are going to Baguio during peak season, please reserve a room in advance. Baka magkasakit ka sa lamig if pagala-gala ka lang kasi full na ang mga affordable hotels. 😉

Let us check now on the top 10 Baguio hotels that offer a nightly room rate below P2K. Let’s also see their Agoda Review Scores based on actual customer reviews and feedback.

To disclose: I have not stayed in all of these hotels, but you can read the reviews of travelers who actually stayed in these hotels, before you finalize your selection.

Penfires Notes

  • The hotels below are chosen for good rating and at the same time offers rates below P2K. The prices may change depending on demand. If you see low rates, might be best to book right away.
  •  Only a few hotels in Baguio offers air-conditioning. If aircon is of utmost important to you, make sure to choose only the hotel that offers it.
  • You can read on Agoda website all reviews and feedback of these Baguio Hotels for your reference.
  • The room prices here were taken today October 31, 2017.

I am including this hotel here since we stayed in Microtel by Wyndam Baguio just last August 2017 and we love it. This hotel is walking distance to SM Baguio, aside from free breakfast for 2, there’s also free flowing coffee available in the lobby. The Victory Liner bus terminal is beside Microtel. 🙂

*Most of these listed hotels offers Free Cancellation in Agoda within a certain period, others offer “Book Now, Pay Later” plans.

*Some hotels offer Free Breakfast for all types of rooms, while some only offers free breakfast for the higher-price room. Make sure to read all room details before booking.

These hotels have been filtered according to Agoda Review Scores based on customer reviews from Excellent to Very Good, and Good. Out of this, you can also see the inclusions. Those with breakfast and Wi-Fi will most likely be filled up first. Who wouldn’t grab that, when it’s added value for your money?

The next time you plan on a trip to The City of Pines, check on hotel rates first online, on travel websites like Agoda, so that you can get to book the best deal they have to offer. Or ask friends and family who’ve been to Baguio for referrals.

Any traveller will attest that in almost any destination their happy feet are led to, one important detail would have to be considered, and that is to have an good accommodation to retire to after a long and tiring day of exploration. Comfort however does not always have to mean it has to be expensive.

Check here for Baguio buses: Genesis Joy Bus Schedules or Victory Liner First Class.

Check here for popular Baguio pasalubong.

Enjoy your Baguio vacation!
