There are now many ways to pay for credit card bills aside from visiting a bank and processing payment over the counter. Today I again paid my BPI credit card charges using Paymaya.
Paymaya is convenient to use in paying for credit card dues because you can do it anywhere as long as you have funds in your Paymaya eWallet and you have internet connection.
There is no transaction fee or service fee for using Paymaya to pay BPI. Yeyyy! Hopefully, this P0.00 transaction fee will continue on.
Paying BPI CC Due Using Paymaya
The info that you need to use Paymaya in paying for your credit card issued by the Bank of the Philippine Islands or BPI are as follows:
- Account number – you can input here the unique customer number assigned to your BPI credit card. Usually this is a 16-digits number. I haven’t tried using the numbers in the front of the credit card number to pay via Paymaya.
- Account name / Customer name – the name of the credit card holder or owner.
- Amount – you can use the cc’s outstanding balance, the minimum amount due, or whatever amount you want to pay at this time.
You can pay BPI credit card even if the card is not under your name. Just make sure that in the customer name section you listed the correct name of the credit card owner.
How Fast is the Payment Posting for BPI – Paymaya?
How many days will it take for the payment to reflect on the BPI credit card account? Based on experience it is usually after 2 to 3 banking days.
Today, April 24, I paid the BPI credit card outstanding balance of P2,000.00 using Paymaya. Today is a Saturday so I am expecting that this payment will be posted to the account by Tuesday or Wednesday. I will update this post once credit card payment is posted.
Update: My Paymaya payment was credited to account after 2 banking days (weekends and holidays will not be counted). Today, April 27, I can now see the posted payment for my BPI Amore Visa credit card. But in expressonline it says therein that payment was posted April 26, but I checked yesterday afternoon, payment was not reflected yet so maybe it was posted late at night yesterday?
You can also pay BPI credit card dues using BPI express online banking “BECC” transaction or pay via Gcash.
To start paying, just log-in to your Paymaya app and then access Bills then choose Credit Cards. Select Bank of the Philippine Islands. Input account number, amount, and consumer name, press continue. Review if all details are correct and then if all okay, click Confirm. Payment is done, you will now just wait for posting for payment in BPI’s side.
