What’s Up in i-City Shah Alam : A Theme Park Must See in Malaysia

We had an early call time at 7 AM for Monday, our second day in Malaysia which was the designated day for our Kuala Lumpur City Tour.

We were supposed to start with the heritage tour in Merdeka Square, the location of colonial era government buildings and national agencies like that of Muzium Negara (National Museum), Masjid Negara (National Mosque), Kuala Lumpur Art Gallery, KL Railway Station among others. But because it was December and the monsoon season was in full force bringing in continuous rain, our guide with the group’s consensus decided to head first to i-City Shah Alam, Malaysia’s Coolest Hotspot and then to come back to the square in the afternoon.

On board our tour bus we got to i-City slightly over an hour. Commuting to Shah Alam via train is possible and probably faster too. It was still drizzling when we alight from our transport but what’s a little drizzle eh?! We were visiting one of the best theme parks in Malaysia and nothing can stop us from enjoying what this entertainment center can offer and we most certainly enjoyed its various attractions! Our wide smiles on the pictures on this post can’t even capture half of our amazing happy experience in i-City!

The first thing that captured my eyes when our bus stopped was the Ferris wheel, it was lording over the whole ground, you can’t miss it. Just imagine how it will look like when the wheel is all lighted up, mesmerizing and beautiful I say.

The whole ground too has pockets of these decorations ready for lighting up come dusk. But because we got there early morning, all lights were out.

If you’ll go to i-City I suggest you get there on the afternoon and stay until night to gaze at the dazzling display of the City of Digital Light! Or better yet go for a whole day pass and explore until closing time! =) That will be a treat. 🙂

This amazing theme park boasts the following:

City of Digital Lights – This features an outdoor theme park set in a “maple” and “pine” forest, it’s a stunning lightscape illuminated with over a million LED lights of various colors. The rides you can find here includes the Giant Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Spacewalk,  Jungle Track and more! Couples and group of friends will certainly feel in love with this newest tourism destination in Malaysia! It can be really romantic if you are up there in the Ferris wheel and looking down at the magical ligthscape below you. Try it! =)

WaterWorld  – Tornado Ride, Giant Jacuzzi, Rainbow Racer Slides and more and more and more! Kids and the adventurous ones will go gaga over the rides and attractions! It’ll be a memory you’ll keep for a long time.

Snowalk – Nothing like cold temperature and array of lights to perk you up! Enjoy below 5deg Celsius and fun winter activities like tobogganing and ice-sliding.

Nope, it’s not cold.

It’s very cold haha

Food and beverage choices abound too!

Souvenirs! Memories on our mind is great but memories coupled with pictures and souvenirs makes it a tad more wonderful =)

Malaysia has numerous other theme parks that you can visit and explore during your vacation. If you are going to Johor you can find there Legoland’s Miniland and  Sanrio Hello Kitty Town; Genting Highlands, Bukit Gambang Resort City, Berjaya Hills awaits you in Pahang. And it does not stop there as are there are numerous Wildlife Theme Parks, Water Parks and Cultural Villages that you can also visit. Delve more into what makes Malaysia Truly Asia through the best attractions its offers to local and foreign visitors alike.
