I’ve promised in one of my earlier posts Tips in Navigating Cebu Jeepneys, that I will be updating the route codes as well as the roads these jeepneys will pass. Unfortunately, it’s so big a task to complete with my limited time, so I will just update what I think is handier especially to tourists and visitors traveling here in Cebu.
If you are bringing big bags and luggage, I recommend you TAKE a TAXI.
Public transpo particularly jeepneys and vhires are ONLY RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE BRINGING one knapsack / one small trolley bag.
If you are four in a group, a taxi is a good option since you can split the cost and is more cost-effective and of course, more convenient.
Mactan Airport to SM Cebu or Ayala Center Cebu via Jeepney
From Mactan International Airport you can actually take public transport all the way to Ayala Center Cebu or SM Cebu or Pier 3 or to anywhere you want to go in the island.
There is an airport multicab that plies the route Airport – Marina Mall – Lapu Lapu City (Opon) Mercado, route code is MI-05a. You can’t mistake them as these multicabs are the only public vehicles allowed to enter the airport vicinity and all of them are colored yellow. So anyhow take one of these yellow multicab and get off in Marina Mall. In Marina Mall you can ride another jeepney that plies the route Opon-Mandaue or Opon-SM, these jeepneys will take the Marcelo Fernan Bridge and on to their destinations.
Mactan Airport Yellow Multicab
If you are going to Ayala Center ask the driver first if his route is by way of Mandaue Coliseum and then SM (and NOT Marina -Parkmall – SM). Then request the driver to drop you off in Mandaue Coliseum. Cebuano drivers and passengers are generally friendly and will advice you when you need to get off from the vehicle.
Ride a 20A Mandaue – Ayala jeepney in the vicinity of Mandaue Coliseum. (21B Mandaue – Ayala is no longer allowed to enter the Ayala Public Terminal but if you get tired of waiting for 20A jeepneys, you can still ride 21B but know that you will have to walk from Keppel building to Ayala Center. Most likely 10 minutes brisk walk. If init ang panahon, parusa that’s why I personally prefer waiting for 20A, medyo tamad kasi ako maglakad heheheh). From Ayala you can also reach Fuente Osmena and Downtown Cebu via jeepney.
If you are heading to SM Cebu from the Mactan Airport take the same airport multicab and ride the second jeepney at Marina Mall. You can take any jeepney with signboard that says “SM”. It doesn’t matter whether the route is via Parkmall or via Mandaue Coliseum since both route will converge near the North Bus Terminal then onwards to SM.
When you arrive in SM they have a jeepney terminal there that can take you to Cebu downtown including Labangon, Pardo, Basak, Urgello etc and of course, IT park in Lahug. Downtown Cebu is where you can find the Sto Nino Cathedral as well as the Magellan Cross, Colon Street and Taboan Market. SM is highly recommended as a starting point because there are lots of jeepneys plying the SM route as well as vhires and taxis.
Anyhow there maybe only 5 or 10 yellow airport multicabs so you may need to wait a bit if you want to ride that, but you’ll be saving money! Alternatively, there are taxis in the Mactan airport that you can take and then to save just get off in Marina Mall and ride a jeepney from there.
These yellow multicabs are available 24 HOURS.
So how much would it cost you to ride a jeepney all the way from the airport to SM or Ayala? Here is the breakdown:
Airport multicab to Marina Mall – P8 ( travel time about 5 minutes)
Marina Mall to Mandaue Coliseum – P8 (travel time depends on the traffic, usually about 15 to 30 minutes)
Mandaue Coliseum to Ayala Center Cebu – P10.00 (travel time around 45 mins to an hour)
Marina Mall to SM Cebu – P14.00 (travel time anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes)
If you are heading out of Cebu, you can take the Vhire from SM, fare is only P25 to reach Gaisano Mactan, then take a multicab from Gaisano Mactan to Marina Mall P8. Then take the airport yellow multicab in Marina Mall to get to the Mactan airport P8.
Vhires from SM route has been changed and they are now up to Gaisano Mactan only. Previously, they go all the way to Marina Mall.
NEW UPDATED GUIDE as of SEPTEMBER 2017!!!
Hope this helps! Welcome to Cebu! ^_^
Airport to Cathedral or Sto Nino via Jeepney
I am again updating this post since a lot of rerouting has happened since this was last updated. Today is March 18,2013.
To get to Sto Nino or Cebu Cathedral or Colon and the downtown area, I suggest that you ride these jeepneys:
1. Airport multicab to Marina Mall.
2. Marina Mall to Maguikay Highway – these jeepneys and multicab carries the signage “highway”, get down before you see Maguikay flyover. Drivers usually announced “naay Maguikay?” “Anyone getting down in Maguikay?” Just say yes. Request other passengers to remind you if your jeepney is nearing Maguikay, Cebuanos are kind to travelers.
3. Ride any Mandaue jeepney with signboard “Catedral” – this will take you all the way to Cathedral. And from Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral you can walk to the next tourist spots like Sto Nino Basilica and Magellan’s Cross or even all the way to Colon St or to Plaza Independencia.
VHIRE ALTERNATIVE TO JEEPNEYS:
If your flight will arrive in Cebu after 9 AM, then there is a more convenient way for you to get to SM Cebu or Ayala Center Cebu.
1. Airport yellow multicab and get off in Gaisano Mactan Island Mall P8.
2. Ride a vhire in Gaisano Mactan, they have vhire bound for SM and AYALA. The SM vhires are filled up faster than the Ayala Vhire.
Gaisano Mactan vhire to SM – P25.00
Gaisano Mactan vhire to Ayala – P35.00

cillle, isn’t it weird that the fare from Marina Mall to Ayala is only P10 whereas the fare from Marina Mall to SM is P14? Ayala is farther than SM, right? LOL
penfires says
Doy hehheh you missed the fact that you have to take two jeepney rides to go to Ayala from Marina Mall heheh ..sum total fare is P17.50..mas mahal pag adto Ayala compared to SM, mao pirmi na lang ko SM ani para makasave hehehhe
doi says
oh yeah, bogo-a nako oi. hahaha. didn’t see that bit. LOL

Hi Cille, I happen to read about your article and i find it very helpful, ask lng ko kng naa ba pwede laagan sa cebu nga duol ra sa mactan airport, I will arrive in cebu at 8 am but my next flight is 3:00 pm, is there a place or a mall you can recommend that it would be easier for me to go, by the way is there a department in the airport the i could depositi my luggage para dili nku mgdala dala ug baggage. pls reply to my email cheekymelt28@yahoo.com
Thanks a lot:)
penfires says
Hi Chenie!
Thanks for dropping by!
If you like you can visit Lapu-Lapu Shrine, pag-abot sa marina mall you can hail one of the passing multicab with “punta engano” signage, P10 lang plite and less than 20 minutes from the cebu airport ra na cia. Alternative since more or less you have 5 hours to kill before you are expected back sa airport, kaya pa to go to SM if gusto nimo. Either you go to Marina Mall and sakay jeep dritso for SM or go to marina mall, sa atbang sakay ug multicab with either “Merkado” “Tamiya” “Cordova” signage then naug sa Gaisano Mactan P7.50 plite. From Gaisano Mactan naay vhire to SM P25 plite. and when you are ready to head back to the airport, naa sad vhire sa SM for “MEPZ”, make sure bound for ‘MEPZ’ ka sakay, until Marina Mall na cia and then just ride the yellow airport multicab. Or you can stay in Gaisano Mactan and wait for your flight pero gamay ra na mall 🙂
Ay about your luggage question I am not sure pero murag wala 🙁
(i’ll cc this to your email )
Imelda Rodriguez says
Hi Cille! thanks again for the info. Tanong ko lang, from SM, may jeepney ba going to Fuente Osmena near Chong Hua Hospital. What is the jeepney’s signboard?
Malayo pa ba ang Fuente Osmena from SM? Thanks
penfires says
Hi melds! 🙂
there is no direct jeepney route from SM to Fuente, what you can do is once you are in SM, take a jeep that has a “cathedral” or “colon” sign board and from colon or cebu cathedral you can take any jeepney that says ‘jones” or “fuente”.
from SM you can go for “22A” – Mandaue – Catedral / “10H” Bulacao-Pardo / “12L” Labangon – then baba sa cathedral P7.50 jeepney fare
pagka-baba mo, dadaan din dun mismo sa binabaan mo sa sa gilid ng cathedral ang jeepneys bound for ‘Jones – Fuente’ like Guadalupe or Banawa – Fare P7.50.
(Make sure ‘Jones’ or ‘Fuente’ ang signboard)
If near Chonghua Hospital target mo, bababa ka on the first stop after sa Fuente Rotonda.
SM to Fuente will take close to 30 minutes.
🙂
Boks says
Hi Cille:
great post you have in here, really helpful. I need to get to the North Bus Terminal from the airport, should i just follow the airport – SM route you mentioned above?
Airport multicab to Marina Mall – P7.50 ( travel time about 5 minutes)
Marina Mall to SM Cebu – P14.00 (travel time anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes)
Bonus question: Do you have any suggestions for a great place breakfast somewhere near the vicinity (or along the route) of the airport and the north bus terminal?
thanks!! More Power!
penfires says
Hi Boks!
Thanks for dropping by here 🙂
Re:your question 1, yes you can follow the Marina Mall to SM route since the route will be “Marina Mall – New Bridge – Parkmall or Mandaue Coliseum (depends on your jeep) – NorthBus Terminal – Makro (which is now SM Hypermart) – SM CIty Cebu. All jeeps bound for SM from Marina will pass by Northbus Terminal. The fare until NorthBus is just P13.
Re:Breakfast place.. i think it’s best if you will eat at one of the fastfoods in Marina Mall. Meron ring mga carenderia and tapsi type eatery sa gitna ng mga pasilyo ng Marina Mall. Or if hindi masyado maaga yung sched mo sa NorthBus, you can choose to ride a Marina Mall – Parkmall – SM route, mas maraming resto choices sa Parkmall and then sa jeepney terminal ng Parkmall just ride 01K, it will pass by NorthBus P7.50 jeepney fare.
Hope that helps ^_^
Boks says
Hi Cille:
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
I’ll take note of this details 😀
Boks says
Hi Cille:
I forgot to ask, my flight would arrive on cebu at 6 in the morning, do you think the jeeps and multicabs are available by that time?
again, thank you.
penfires says
Hi Boks!
Yap they are available kasi yung Marina Mall is within the PEZA complex, buhay na buhay na dun dahil sa mga papasok work and pauwi.. actually 24 hours meron dun.
You’re welcome 🙂 Enjoy Bantayan or Malapascua or wherever you are headed to ^_^
Dianne says
Hi Cille:
Thank you for posting this! It’s very helpful. My friend and I are going to Cebu this September. I just want to ask for the details of jeepney rides from SM to Airport. Actually, on our last day, we’ll be coming from the Crown Regency Hotel for the Sky Adventure then we’ll go straight to the Airport after. I am just assuming that there’s a public jeep to SM along Osmeña Blvd and that public transport is available 24/7. Is my assumption correct? What do you think?
Again, thank you so much. Posts like this are very helpful to budget trips like what I will have on September.
Dianne
penfires says
Hi Dianne!
Thank you for the nice comment ^_^
You are correct about 24/7 availability of public transport in Cebu, however if you are coming from Crown Regency in Fuente Osmena, there is no direct route to SM.
But you have two options:
1.) Fuente – Colon – SM
2.) Fuente – Ayala – SM
1st Option – From Crown Regency cross the fuente skywalk and across the street, ride a 14D (Ayala-Colon) or 06C (Guadalupe-Colon) to reach Colon. From Colon ride a 01K (Pier 1) or a 12L (Labangon) to SM. Although to be honest I’d rather you choose the second option, kasi medyo magulo ang jeepney loading/unloading areas sa Colon.
2nd Option – After you get down from Crown Regency wait for a 14D jeepney (don’t cross the street) they are the only one with “Ayala” signboard. In Ayala you can check out 04L (Lahug-SM) to go to SM. Wala talagang terminal ang 04L. Just ask the guard where to ride a 04L to SM. Nasa may west entry kasi yun ng Ayala along the street of Pag-ibig Tower (a few walks from Ayala Center Terminal).
Fare on the jeepneys kahit anong option 7.50 each lang.
From SM, ride a vhire or fx bound for MEPZ. . Baba sa Marina Mall and walk a few steps to Island Souvenirs and you can see the yellow airport multicabs.
However, vhires in SM is only until the mall closes, if mas late flight you, send me an email at penfires@gmail.com or comment here again and I’ll share alternative routes that you can go by.
Total fare via public transpo will only be = 7.50 + 7.50 + 25 + 7.50 = P47.50 per person.
Mahina ang 300 kung tataxi kayo from Fuente to airport.
Imelda rodriguez says
Hi Cille! Thanks so much for your info on how to go to fuente from sm. We will be in fuente on monday. Exciting!
One more question puede?
We are going to Europa mansionette, M.L. Quezon Ave. mandaue
We are coming from cebu south area “Catmon” I know we will take Ceres bus going to the cebu city, saan kami bababa going to Quezon Ave? Meron ba jeepney going to that place from whereever place ibababa kami ng ceres bus?
I know everywhere in cebu is reachable by taxis, kaya lang i do not want to negotiate with taxi drivers because they always want negotiated fares, eh i do not know how to speak cebuano. Last year we had a bad experience with taxis kaya jeeps nalang, anyway maganda naman mag jeep, you pass the regular route.
Your directions are very clear to me, can be followed easily.
It was really good of you to blog how to get out of the airport NOT IN TAXIs, otherwise. . . . Makikiaway na naman ako. Hahahaha
Pagpalain ka Cille!
penfires says
Hi Melds! thank you for the well wishing 🙂
Re your other question, I will get you your answer over the weekend since i have to consult my friends who resides in Mandaue but I’m pretty sure you can go there via jeepney.
And yah, some taxi drivers are really kapalmuks, at pag the taxi driver refuse to use the meter, aba’y alisan after awayin hehehhe
penfires says
Hi Melds, got the answers (thanks to facebook hehhehe)
Get off the bus before mag intersection to the new bridge, pasabi sa konduktor.
Then once you get off the bus, ride a jeepney that has “SM” signboard or just ask the driver if dadaan siya sa “maguikay flyover”. If dadaan, ride that P7.50 fare. Tell the driver to drop you off just BEFORE maguikay flyover. If the jeep passses under the flyover mas better but those jeeps are rare.
When you are near the flyover, walk towards Jollibee which is on the corner below the maguikay flyover. Beside Jollibee you can see a tricycle terminal, ride one of those tricycles and tell them pa drop kayo sa Europa Masionette. I am not sure how much yung tricycle but baka P7.50 to P10 each yun.
Hope you’ll have a great vacation!
Imelda Rodriguez says
Cille, salamat, salamat, salamat . . . . . for the direction going to Europa Mansionette. Gudnyt!

Yep, jeepneys with “Jones” or “Fuente” passes by Crown Regency Tower in Fuente Osmena. Just tell the driver you are getting off in Crown Regency.

Would like to know how much is the fare from Tamiya to Ayala Terminal (V-hire). Thank you
penfires says
Hi Desiree! 🙂
From Tamiya terminal to highway maguikay it’s P8.50, then you hop on to a 21B jeep bound for ayala P10.00, the 21B route will end up in Ayala Terminal where you can spot the Vhires 🙂
chipnet says
hi cille.nice post.very informative..just got 1 question though, we’ll be leaving cebu by tomorrow, 7am flight namin, ilang mins ung trip from gere sa gv towers sanciangko papunta airport if magjeep kami??and may byahe na ba as early as 5am from sm to marina mall?thanks in adv…
penfires says
Hi chipnet! pasencia na I was only able to login this morning and too late na reply ko, malamang you have already arrived in your destination. Anyhow, hope you had a great time here in Cebu! Balik kayo! =)
diane says
just wanna ask po…are there vans na papuntang SM na pwdeng sakyan? my arrival is at 10:15am…
penfires says
Hi diane! direct from Mactan airport NO but you can ride an airport yellow multicab and get off in Gaisano Mactan (and not Marina Mall) same fare P7.50. There are vans or what we call vhire that goes to Ayala and SM Cebu for P30 per person from Gaisano Mactan Island Mall. The SM vhires fills up faster than the Ayala bound vhires.
This is actually the easier route if visitors like you are going direct to SM or Ayala from the airport now that I think about it.
Hope that helps!
cille
Girlie says
from airport, ilang oras ba ang biyahe papuntang sugbutel, unsa’y sakyan pls help, thank u.
penfires says
Hi Girlie,
Please see my other replies regarding going to SM Cebu. Tapos when you get to SM go to the jeepney terminal of SM (not the SM Vhire terminal) then asked the drivers of 12G (Labangon) if they are going to pass by there. I’m not 100% sure man gud. Pero I know a jeep sa SM jeepney terminal passes there. Approximately kung purely public commute to Sugbutel, around 1 hour cgro cia. I’ll copy this reply to your email. Hope it helps!
Girlie says
thank u, one hour from airport to sugbutel kung jeep, vice versa din po ba at kasama na ba sa isang oras ang traffic? our arrival there is maybe 12:45..thank u very much for info..
penfires says
Yep kasama na sa traffic, unless it’s going to rain then mas madugay. pabalik same route, there are 12G and 21A that passes in front of Sugbutel papuntang SM. =)
you’re welcome =)
Angela says
Thank you soooo much for blogging about this…it has answered most of my questions 🙂 i also loved that you posted pics of the airport multicab, at least i know what they look like and what to watch out for! just wanna ask if these multicabs drop you off right at the vhire terminals for SM? or do i have to get inside and through the Gaisano Mall?
and would you know how i could get to the carmelites on Juan Luna st. by jeepney from SM? 🙂
penfires says
Hi Angela,
you’re welcome 🙂
the moment you alight from the multicab in the street fronting Gaisano Mactan, you can already see the vhire terminal. If you are going to Carmelites take the vhire bound for SM, and in SM you can already ride 04L (SM – Mabolo – IT Park – Lahug – Ayala – SM ), it passes by the front gate of Carmelites in Mabolo, just tell the driver to drop you off in Carmelites. Less than 5 minutes jeepney ride from SM 🙂
mafel says
elow ask lang po kung may jeep mula SM cebu papuntang pier?
tnx
penfires says
Hi Mafel, what pier no? madami kasi pier dito sa Cebu
Angela says
penfires says
@ Mafel, if you mean the pier where oceanjet docks it’s on Pier Uno, from SM jeepney terminal you ride a 10H jeep or a 12G jeep, tell the driver bababa kayo sa AA BBQ near Plaza Independencia tapos lakad lang ng konti.
mafel says
SM cebu po to pier 4 salamat
penfires says
@Mafel Ah ok sa Supercat/Weesam. Hmmm you can still ride 10H/12G and pasabi near Pier Kwatro kayo bababa kaso yung gate kasi ng Port 4 is malayo from the road and medyo paikot baka mahirapan kayo. I suggest taxi nalang from SM, about 5 minutes cgro kung walang traffic, mababayaran is around P50 to P70.
Angela says
thanks again, Cille! –first name na, para pa-close 😉
i found another church to visit, Our Lady of Guadalupe. Do you know how i can get there from SM? I’m hoping i don’t break my wallet by taking jeepneys instead of taxis…also, i hope i get to “know” Cebu this way.
last na ‘to, promise! hehe…thanks, thanks, thanks a million! 🙂
penfires says
Hi Angela 🙂 hehehe if you plan to go to Guadalupe church, mas madali if you make ayala your base kasi there are Guadalupe bound jeepneys in the Ayala Terminal. P7.50 lang pamasahe from Ayala to the church. Baka you like to visit our church in Lapu – Lapu, it’s also a National Shrine and dinadayo cia especially during fiesta, it’s the Nuestra Senora Virgin dela Regla Church.. =)
Angela says
hi, Cille! thanks for the idea/s! i’ll only be a day in Cebu and i plan to go to St. Joseph’s, Carmelites, then Guadalupe…is your church along my way? if it is, then why not! 🙂 the more, the many-ier, di ba? hehehe
penfires says
@Angel, Just one day in Cebu? ang bilis naman but ang ibig lang sabihin nun you will be back hehehe.. yung Opon church malayo, out of the way kasi nasa Mactan Island cia.. sa pagbalik mo cgro =)
sheila says
Hi, ano pwede sakyan from IT Park going to Shangrila? Aside from Taxi. ty 🙂
penfires says
Hi Sheila!
From IT park ride a 04L jeep kaso medyo iikot pa to, anyhow baba ka sa SM, then hop on to a Mepz / Marina Mall bound vhire sa SM Vhire terminal. Sa Marina Mall, ride a multicab with “Punta Engano” signage. Tell the driver sa Shangrila ka lang. Ibababa ka near sa entrance ng Shang but medyo malayo pa yun so you have to walk a bit. Hope that helps!
sheila says
Hi find your site very helpful. I’ve been in Cebu a lot of times pero hindi ko pa po natatry magjeep. I will be visiting Cebu again and this time gusto ko magjeep.

Nej says
Hi Cille,
We got a 4am flight to Cebu. I’m wondering is there any coffee shop,24/7 fast food or restaurant where we can have our breakfast? Please post how we can get there at 6am in the morning thanks.
NEJ
penfires says
Hi Nej!
Ang aga niyo pala.. I am not sure about 24/7 fastfood/cafe in Marina Mall. But I know that Andok’s (just before Gaisano Mactan) is 24/7 and so is McDonalds a few meters after Gaisano Mactan.
You can go to either by riding an airport multicab and just tell the driver to drop you off in Andoks or McDo, maybe 10 mins from the airport.
Will check your email now and try to answer your queries as best as I can.
Thanks again Nej for visiting Penfires!
Cille =)
Angela says
hi, Cille!
i figured out how i could see your church after all!…you mentioned in one of your blogs that the airport multicab goes all the way to Opon Market…so, i’ll be going there straight from my arrival 😀 then take the ferry from Muelle to Cebu City (Pier 3?) then take a jeepney (12G or 10H, tama ba?) to SM…! i’m so excited to NOT get lost in your city! hahaha!
penfires says
Hi Angela!!!
Yap that’s so true! naka-ferry ka pa hehehe likod lang mismo ng church ang muelle de osmena. and tama pagkalabas mo ng port, lakad lang ng konti to main road and you can ride a jeepney to SM like 12G and 10H =)
pag dating mo market, just ask where is the church =)
na-inspired ako sa comment mo, i’ve decided to make a post finally about our church (ang tagal na nasa akin ng pics heheh.)

I’ll be updating some of the posts here and will be including Bantayan as few days ago some friends from Manila came over and we went all over town and yes, Bantayan too! If you’ll be spending days here, I really suggest you go to either Bantayan or Camotes Island, you won’t regret it. =)
Glory Rose says
what jeepney would you recommend when i’ll go to marina mall..from SM
penfires says
Hi Glory!
I would suggest Vhire from SM to Marina Mall since it only cost P25 and is more convenient.
But if you prefer jeepneys, you can ride 01K (Urgello – SM – Parkmall ) in SM P7.50 and then get off in ParkMall and then ride any multicab with “Bag-O” or “Mepz 1” signage P10.00 and then get off in Marina Mall.
However only a few marina mall bound multicab enters Park Mall jeepney terminal, so if you get tired of waiting, from the terminal you can walk to the corner intersection and catch your multicab there, its maybe around 5 to 8 minutes walk.

Hello Miss. I’m from Iloilo and I’ll be in Cebu on Dec11 at 7AM tapos balik din agad by 7PM. I plan to visit the Basilica before heading to Ayala for my appointment. I’m thinking of taking a jeepney from the airport to Gaisano Mactan then a van for SM. Afterwards, may jeep for the church, Magellan’s Cross, etc. sa SM tama? After this plan, however, I’m lost. Hihi. How can I get to Ayala from there? Please please help me. Thank you so much.
penfires says
Hi Cari!
Yap you are right on the mark =).
Now after the Basilica to Ayala – as you leave the church walk towards Colon, pls see this map – http://screencast.com/t/BaRSbVH3LF – along the way on one of its corner (di ka pa aabot sa Colon intersection), there are 14D jeeps that passes. I am just not sure what street. To confirm, ask the guard in Sto Nino. 14D jeepneys goes to Ayala. P7.50 lang yun.

If you are going to some places which I have not yet covered, please feel free to email me with specific details or itinerary and I will try my best to answer your query =) I am not promising it will be comprehensive as there are still lots of aspects of Cebu and commuting in the city that I am still discovering myself ….but I will try as long as kakayanin ng powers ko hehehhe

Hi Mikki!
So sorry I was out early morn and went online just now. I hope you read some of my other blogposts as there are instruction there about going to Colon. About finding a cheap place to stay in Cebu you can check out Field Trip Boy’s Guide to Affordable Pension Houses in Cebu, these places are nearby Fuente Osmena. Hopefully by now, you’ve found a place to stay.

First, thank you for this very helpful post 🙂 Second, forgive me if ill be asking something u have answered already..i did try to read the whole comments..but its just too many! hehe anyway, ill be arriving cebu at 6:30pm and im headed to Cebu R Hotel (near Prov’ncl capitol) this is my plan : airport multicab – Gaisano mactan island mall – vhire SM – cathedral. Im quite unsure what jeep to take from cathedral to Capitol / Cebu R 🙂 what do u suggest? Thank you again so much for your very helpful article 🙂

hi sherie =)
Your welcome and thanks for dropping a comment hehe
On your query, you can’t go by way of vhire in Gaisano Mactan simply because you’ll arrive early, close pa yung mall and I think the earliest sched for the vhires is at 8:30 to 9:00am pa. So you have to follow the jeepney route. multicab to marina mall. marina mall to sm bound jeepney. then sa sm sakay ka ng 10H/10M/12L/12G – baba sa cathedral, from Cathedral hop onto a Guadalupe jeepney or any jeepney with “Jones” and “Capitol” signage. it will pass by in front of Capitol. if you can give me the exact address mas maigi kasi baka nasa side siya ng escario mas convenient if your coming from Ayala route.

wow! quick reply 🙂 oh ill be arriving 6:30PM..
ill be headed to Cebu R Hotel, Don Mariano Cui St., Capitol Site. i guess Capitol/Jones will do? Off topic, im not sure if you’re a He or a She but can u recommend a good beauty parlor around that area? hihi im sorry i really did try reading forums etc but came up with nothing 🙂 ill be attending a wedding! 🙂 Thank you again and again :p

Hi Sherie,
na-timing lang na online ako kanina hehehe
Yep Jones – Capitol jeeps will do. I have added a screenshot of the map here, pagkalagpas ng Fuente Circle malapit na to, just tell the driver na you are getting off in Cebu Doctor’s and just walked back. Please see this map –

or if allowed, baba ka sa Rain Tree Mall (this is a mini arcade just before Cebu Doctor’s mas malapit dun yung Don Mariano Cui St)
About parlor – ask ko muna friends ko kasi I don’t know much of the establishments there, sa Mactan kasi ako nakatira hehehhe but you can find saloons and parlors sa Rain Tree Mall din =)

2nd time arriving in Cebu on January, with the family this time. We will be arriving at 11.55pm of January 5. Technically it’s already the 6th. It’s an ungodly hour and my family is quite tired by then. Can you recommend a budget accommodation near the airport that we can spend the overnight at?
Also, how do I arrange for a private airport pickup because commuting just won’t do for that hour, because I’ll have oldies as well as younglings travelling in the group.
Please help!
