Another option for an affordable beach getaway especially this summer in Mactan is Rendezvous Beach Resort. It is an old favorite; I remembered going there eons ago so I was pleasantly surprise with what greeted us when we reached this beach resort in Mactan Island. Rendezvous underwent major renovation 2 years ago and until now the place looks clean and well-kept. This resort is between Vano and Palm Beach in Marigondon.

This resort in Marigondon, Mactan is near Cebu City. Maybe an hour ride via private vehicle, public commute to this place might take longer but very doable. When we went there it was a slow Saturday as there was only 1 occupied cottage. Sundays and long holidays attract more beach goers to this affordable resort in Mactan Island.

Advantages of Rendezvous Beach Resort:
- Cottages for small and big groups are available
- Clean Restrooms and Shower rooms. (Shower fee of P20 per head).
- Their rooms are really good, aircon and have a veranda that looks out to the sea.
- Grilling place available.
- They have their own diving shop.
- No parking fee for your vehicles.
- You can reserve your room or cottage and pay the 50% reservation pay via bank.
Disadvantages of Rendezvous:
- Beach area is small, if there are lots of guests, will be crowded.

- This affordable Mactan beach resort only has 10 cottages for rent and 10 resort rooms for overnight stays. Cottage rates are:
P1,000 – Good for 25 pax
P1,200 – Good for 35 pax
P2, 500 – Good for 50 pax
- This resort is good for Day trip and swimming only. Probably to give more privacy for those who’ve checked-in in their resort rooms.
- Room Rate is flat fee of P2,500 per day. They have 3 rooms for twin sharing and 7 rooms with queen size beds. If you will request for extra bed, you will be charged P300 per mattress. I don’t know if room rate includes breakfast for two but probably not.
