I’ve been frequenting SM Savemore Market – Mactan a lot to shop for our grocery that I have already forgotten the reasons why I do the grocery shopping in there in the first place; it has become a sort of default action. 4. It is a neighborhood market first of all. SM Maguikay (I guess as well as other Savemore branches) opens at 9am and closes at 9pm, catering to the early market goers as well as late shoppers.
5. Accessibility is a prime advantage. The store in Maguikay is just behind the Jollibee building below the Maguikay flyover. If you consider accessibility in choosing where to shop, then this store truly fits the bill. The one in Mactan which I frequent is in Marina Mall which is like a few minutes from our house, hence, accessible too. I guess all Savemore market stores have this location advantage.
6. The second floor. Sorry if I sound lame but the second floor of the Maguikay and Canduman branch is the first Savemore stores to have 2nd floors in Cebu, and worth mentioning, at least me think hehehe

7. Specialty Sections. Just like their bigger counterpart in SM Department Stores, they have separate wine sections and bakery while inside the main grocery area they have fruits and salad bar as well as an area dedicated to Christmas baskets. I forgot to check if they have a lotto kiosk though hehehe

8. Bills Payment and Money Changer. Now, this one is very handy for me (no, not the money changer part hehehhe). I pay my phone bill as well as my internet bill in SM Bills Payment Center and these two new branches have these too. I wonder if you have tried paying for your bills at SM, have you?
9. Community Billboard. Savemore Markets aims to be the preferred community/neighborhood market that’s why they also have this community billboard that you can check for the mass schedules, barangay activities, announcements and more.

10. Free Coffee Sunday. Now this one I got to see in action. As I’ve said our family is a frequent SM Savemore shopper but not one of us has been picked as the lucky customer to get free coffee while doing Sunday grocery shopping. The customer service representative at SM mentioned that every Sunday a customer(s) is randomly selected which is usually done during peak hours of lunch and then again at 4 to 6pm. Baka kung mag babad ako sa Savemore on a Sunday, maka-timing ra dyud ko pero so far wa pa dyud hehehe
11. It’s SM, which to me is associated with wide selections, organized aisles, good quality of goods, promo offerings and deals and sometimes may concessionaire kiosks pa serving free product taste. What more can I say? Hehehe
