Sinulog 2012 SM 4th Pyrofest Photos and Winners

We were excited me, Titus and Nicko to head to SM Cebu yesterday to watch the fireworks competition dubbed Sinulog 2012 Pyrofest. We arrived in SM and mannn there were like thousands of people on the Northwing parking lot and all waiting for the Pyrofest! And no one was disappointed with the amazing show and competition put up by the organizers of the event. All 8 contestants of the fireworks competition wowed the crowd!

The SM 4th Pyrofest for Sinulog was by jove the most exciting fireworks show I’ve seen! Maybe because there were 8 contest participants that showcase the best of their fireworks.

The contestant are mostly manufacturers of firecrackers and fireworks based in Bulacan. Our bet was contestant no 1, 4 and 6. The crowd was really clapping and shouting every time something amazingly colorful is  making its waves on the sky! There were lots of moments that mesmerized the watchers, it was simply wondrous!!!

The SM Cebu Sinulog 2012 Pyrofest Winners are:

1st Prize and Champion – GOLDEN PEACOCK FIREWORKS of Bulacan

2nd Prize – PHOENIX FIREWORKS of Bulacan

3rd  Prize – SKY INTENSITY of Bulacan

After the 8th participant fireworks show, people started to leave the parking area and so were we. We were almost climbing the stairs to get back to the SM Northwing section, when I heard the contest emcee saying something like ‘.. and this is the show prepared by the organizer… blah blah”.. the sound system was not very clear on our area but I felt there is going to be a grand fireworks finalle from the organizers or from SM Cebu itself. So when I heard those words, though not clear, I have to stop my brother and my boyfriend and told them to wait up. And then it begun! It was the most colorful and grandiose fireworks display I’ve seen last night! If the organizer was one of the contestant, they’d be the SM Pyrofest winners hehehhe

I have pics below trying to capture the fireworks, but unfortunately only one was modest, the rest more like failures hahahha but I am still sharing them to remind me to better learn how to go about capturing fireworks so when Sinulog 2013 rolls in, I’d be ready. But then again I may need a more advance camera than my old dear Spunky =) hehhehe

Can somebody teach me how to capture beautiful fireworks?
