Online interview. It’s my first time to try for an online job thru Odesk. Luckily for me, i must have passed the preliminary exams and assessments because I am granted an interview, which i am waiting for right now.
I am not sure what to expect. 🙂
Will it be the same with face to face interview in a corporate setting? I am just in my bedroom now so the atmosphere is a bit relax, though I am beginning to have clammy hands hahahaha
I am trying to keep my nervousness at bay that’s why I am writing now to focus my attention elsewhere.
Hmm maybe i should try to rehearse answers to possible questions?
But then again, i dont know what could be the usual questions since as i’ve said this is an initiation for me for online work/job hunting.
i am still waiting with skype on.
Technology, you can really marvel at how different our world now is compared to decades before. Technological advancement has made our world smaller and closer. I am not sure where in the globe my interviewer will be talking to me from but thanks to advancement like skype i can actually have a ‘face to face’ conversation with someone that could actually be in the other side of the world! Amazing!
And my clammy hands are getting warmer – good sign.
************
just did an interview, i am not sure how i’d fare, i will know in two weeks time.
hmm the ‘face to face’ thing was not exactly right because i’m the only one on video, but still i was conversing with someone located elsewhere 🙂
i can’t share what company and what specific topic I’ll be working on If i will be hired but suffice to say that’s its going to revolve around current events (again the premise of being hired hehehe)
and it puts a big smile on my face, current events/news/history/places are topics that i would really love to write about. i *almost went into journalism in college.
anyway while i am waiting for judgement day hehehe i’ll start reading about what could possibly be future work for me.
nothing beats the prepared person 🙂
byers!

Kumusta oDesk job hunt mo? Hanapin kita dun hehe By the way, you can always say no to video interviews. Live calls are okay, but I always say no to video, esp pag do ko nakikita rin ang client. Mahirap na, madaming scammers, spammers at may iba ring manyak sa oDesk.

Hi Aleah!
I have been off oDesk for a year na, found a client I work for full time now pero remote pa din. I’m happy to be working from home hehe.
Thanks for that tip about videos, once lang ako nakapag-interview na may video, buti nalang filipina yung nag interview sa akin kasi di open web cam nya.
