Not Your Usual Christmas Cards

Last December 24 Titus and i were out to buy cake from SM for the Noche Buena (noche Buena = Christmas eve special dinner). And generally we have this running routine for a couple of months now that we will ‘punish’ ourselves if we spend more than an hour in SM by playing the PCSO Scratch Card.

The more time spent in SM City CEbu the bigger the hole left in our pocket when we go home that’s why ‘punishment’ is due.

The first time I played the PCSO scratch card which sells for P20 I didn’t know I won fifty pesos hehe, we were on our way out of the mall when I reread the game instruction at the back and look at the numbers on my card. I must have inspected both sides of the card thrice before it hit me that I won. I was grinning like an idiot when we went back to the station and hand the lady my winning card and got my P50 pesoses! Yey!

And a scratch card fan was born!

Ouch. Hahahah.

Beginner’s Luck? No, Am Lucky! Haha

It must have been beginner’s luck for the next visits to sm I am dealt with ‘namumuro’ cards. You know the ones that you *almost *almost won but didn’t. Every time that happens I treat it like it’s my donation to the PCSO program. Yah,yah sweet lemoning lol. And when I was at that point that the scratch card was losing its appeal because I keep on losing, I was handed a P150 winning card 🙂 I’m back on track haha

Anyway so yesterday prior to having snack, I told Titus that it’s the punishment time again. So I bought one for P20. My card didn’t even come close to winning. So we just go about malling. About to go home, I convinced Titus that he must have one scratch card because it’s Christmas. (I’m the only one who usually gets a card because he says I am the lucky one).  His wasn’t a lucky card.

So we leave the PSCO outlet, I was still happy and jiggidy because hey! it’s Christmas soon and I love Christmas! But wait. Can I have one more card please? The first one was the usual, this second one will be for Christmas.. lulusot pa eh, ano? heheh

Of course! What do you think happened? We trooped back to the outlet hehehe

Got myself a P20 card and viola! I won P40 pesos *widewidesmile. And since I won P40 pesos I decided to share my winnings with Titus and made him buy a card. Christmas is sharing, right? 🙂

We were on a roll! His numbers didn’t won but his ‘card bonus’ was right on the mark, and he got an instant P200 pesoses! We were having fun! The guy beside us was already listening to us. Well, since I shared my winnings with titus, he has to share his to me right?

pcso scratch card wins

I want to go for the big gun and bought a P50 scratch card, a ‘cash extravangza‘. As I was scratching the protective marks off the card, the other guy has stopped looking at his card and furtively awaits my result. It must be a lucky day for me I won P50 pesos! It was just break-even but who cares, I still won! Yeyyy! Haha

Hmmm the other guy bought two more cards, I truly hope he got a winning card, it’ll be something fun to remember his Christmas by.

As for me, I didn’t ask to try another scratch card, we leave the mall happy and thankful for the unusual Christmas fun! 🙂

Merry Happy Christmas to all! Cheers! 😉

Funny I should stumble upon this. I was talking to this guy (coincidentally a Filipino) I know through work, he just won $1,500 on the lotto last Friday and once won $5000. Apparently he is very superstitious and has to offer a percentage to someone every time he buys a ticket, to channel their possible good luck. He claims to win fairly often, be it $20, a free ticket, etc. Now it might seem ridiculous but myself also being superstitious it seems like a good idea. lol

So to the point, there’s a draw for $50,000,000 here tomorrow. After reading this I’m gonna buy a ticket tomorrow and I’m offering you 10% if you bless my ticket. lol

hahaha vince i think you won’t like me blessing your ticket coz I haven’t drawn luck the last few times I’ve bought scratch cards hehe but I’ll hold you to the 10% cut if you win hahaha. \o/

Hmm… That’s no good. lol let’s think positive though, it’s not like I win anything anyways. Worst case scenario, nothing changes. haha
