Breezing through the customary pictures by the giant flower head Mickey, Titus, Kenneth and I rushed right away to the latest attraction of Hong Kong Disneyland – the Iron Man Experience! We want to be among the first to get-in ahead of the crowd.
Luckily, we went there on a Wednesday and the crowd was visibly thinner than usual. Is February off season?
It sure looks like it if I compare my most recent visit versus the first two times I visited HK Disneyland in the past (March 2006 and December 2014). There wasn’t even a line in “It’s A Small World” and “Mickey and the Wondrous Book” when we checked them out. Good for us! 🙂
The Iron Man Experience is Disney’s first Marvel theme ride as of 2017 and it’s only available right now in the Hong Kong park, no wonder everyone I know is excited to try and explore Tony Stark’s world.
Cue: Book a flight to Hong Kong now na and buy Disneyland tickets, Experience Iron Man! 🙂
Area Sections
Stark Expo
This area features the Stark Industries innovations and ground-breaking technology. Includes Hall of Protection where you can spot the famous Iron Man Mark III suit. The Hall of Energy and see the Arc Reactor. Hall of Mobility – check out the Iron Wing of Stark Industries!
Upon entering the Stark Expo area, Disneyland’s cast members guided us to the Expo hallway. It’s a bit challenging to take decent pics on the hallway leading to the main room since it’s narrow and dark, not to mention other guests are queuing behind you.
By the way, take extra notice of the vehicles in the Hall of Mobility, you will see them featured on the ride along with Jarvis.
We snatched a pic or two but since we were using point-and-shoot cam, no sharp pics. :/
Iron Man Experience
StarkVision 3D glasses are provided for the Iron Man Experience. Prepare for an action pack, ‘bumpy’, adrenalin ride as you, along with Jarvis and Tony Stark, rescues Hong Kong city from Hydra.
Bonus: You get to have a unique perspective of the latest and tallest additions to the Hong kong Skyline.
Ride approximately lasts 5 minutes.
Iron Man Tech Showcase
After the Iron Wing ride, visitors can visit the Iron Man Tech Showcase and who knows you’ll chance upon Iron man himself to get that photo-op!!!.
Expo Shop
For those who can’t get enough of Iron Man, there are special Iron Man theme merchandise you can pick up. You can also become Iron Man by trying on the suit of armor using the state-of-the-art-motion-sensing-technology which is available in the shop.
If you’re going to HK Disneyland soon, make time for this new Marvel theme ride! 🙂
