I am one of the countless Filipinos who greatly hope for progress especially on the tourism front. I feel that we have a very good chance of making tourism works for us with all that we can offer to travelers and visitors from our beaches to mountains to food to our fame Filipino smile and hospitality. Tourism can become one of our major industries in the country. Hence, good news about our tourist destinations making it to prestigious lists and rankings of magazine and travel shows always gives me the thrills.
It’s positive affirmations that what we are doing – the Filipinos, the Tourism Department, and all travel stockholders like travels and tours and local government – are working. Are we near the 2012 visitors target set by Secretary Jimenez of DOT? Hope so! There is less than two months left in the year.

Domestic travel has also increased, thanks to more affordable ways of reaching the provinces. Kudos to airline companies for bringing down cost of air travel in the Philippines especially having promotions like Piso fare. I hope that more seat sales awaits everyone for 2013, 2014 and in the years to come.
A lot of people are looking forward to new promo fares launches, no wonder websites of Cebu Pacific, Air Phil Express, Tiger Airways, Zest Air, Philippine Airlines get hammered done by traffic spikes during express sales hehhe
