Last May, we visited SM Seaside, and then again last week. Every time we passed by the food court, my eyes also turned to the skating rink that they have there. It brings a smile to watch kids skating inside the rink or at least trying to skate. I tried skating once in SM MOA, I didn’t even manage 2 full steps / movements lol.
It is also fun to see the spectators and watchers by the bench, cheering on their kids. There’ll be lots of camera clicks, trying to get that perfect snap or capture those funny mishaps. Hopefully soon, I will get to experience this with our daughter when she is a little older.
I am sharing information about the SM skating rates, just in case you need the details. But it’s always best to contact the establishment directly or go visit the place. The info here is correct as of publishing date.
Weekdays are a little cheaper than weekends and holidays. The minimum hours in the ice rink is 2 hours. Day Pass is available.

SM Skating Promos
Are there SM skating promos? Yes, they do offer promos from time to time. Like last June 12 to 14, SM offered Independence Day Promo wherein one can get 2 2-hour passes for P612 only. Regular price is P330 x 2 = P660. This was available in all 3 branches.
Last March they offered a Women’s month promo wherein all women, young and old, and will get 10% discount on the 2-hour pass Monday to Thursday. There is a good chance that next year March 2025 there will be another SM skating promo. Watch out for it!
An ongoing promo that will run until December 2024 is the Kabayan Tuesday, wherein those who can present their BDO Kabayan or BDO Network Bank Kabayan ATM card or passbook or remittance payment slip can enjoy 10% discount on rates, every first Tuesday of the month.
What I am hoping though is that they will have another SM skating promo offer when the Christmas and holiday season comes around. It’ll be a wonderful treat for someone who wishes to experience ice skating.
Alrighty, just before you buy your skating pass, Penfires’ recommendation is to ask the cashier if there are ongoing promos. Baka maka-timing ka. 😊
And oh, do bring a jacket or wear long-sleeve shirts especially if you easily gets cold or you plan to stay in the rink for a long time. Enjoy the ice! Enjoy skating!
