White Hat Frozen Yogurt and the Cebuano Market

Love Cebu Logo

The Cebuano market is hard to please. I’ve heard this often when I was working on getting my Business Management degree from UP Cebu. And it seems to be true especially last weekend. “Value for money” is a driving force especially among Cebuano buyers. Meaning  the “1 piso” you shell out should really equal to [...]

Beach Resort Near Cebu City: Blue Reef Hotel in Mactan Island

Bluereef Resort Shoreline in Mactan

Last Saturday when we checked out affordable beach resorts near Cebu City, which are of course those found in Mactan Island, we were a bit bewildered why there were only a few beach goers in the first three cheap Mactan resorts we’ve been to when it was in fact, a weekend. We surmised that it [...]

Food Finds: 10 Dove St. One of ‘Hidden’ Restaurants in Cebu

There are many good restaurants in Cebu, and today being it Titus birthday we decided to check out a restaurant that I’ve been to 10 plus years ago, and one he wants to dine at because I’ve told him it is not crowded as most of the good restaurants in Cebu are.

This restaurant is one of those best kept ‘secret’ restos of Cebu – 10 Dove Street. A specialty restaurant without an official signage, you can find this restaurant in yes 10 dove st. inside Sto Nino Village in Banilad, Cebu City, a bit out-of-the-way from the ‘it’ places.

Mactan Airport Cebu to Destination via Jeepneys

I’ve promised in one of my earlier posts, Tips in Navigating Cebu Jeepneys, that I will be updating the route codes as well as the roads these jeepneys will pass. Unfortunately, it’s so big a task to complete with my limited time, so I will just update what I think is handier especially to tourists [...]

Life’s a Beach! At Mangodlong in Camotes Island!

coconut tree mangodlong

We came for the white sands and pristine beaches of Camotes Island, and we got them and more! Our first day was rocked with  huge waves and an unexpected intense adventure on the high seas . On our second day in Mangodlong Rock Resort , Mr Sun made up for the previous days of no swimming because of rough waves! Hurray! We woke up early, ate our silog breakfast at P80 per plate with free coffee. And then it was play time on the sand and beach!

Camotes is simply an awesome beach travel destination and …

Camotes Island: Frolicking in Mangodlong Rock Resort!

mangodlong beach

Camotes Island is home to white sand beaches and great resorts. Mangodlong Rock Resort together with its sister resort Santiago Bay Garden and Resort are two of Camotes most popular beach resorts. We decided to stay in Mangodlong because we have seen pictures of it and it looks awesome! Plus, it doesn’t hurt that its more affordable than Santiago. :)

So after our adventure in the high seas of Camotes we arrived in Mangodlong! Unfortunately the huge waves have not normalized, in fact it looks like it’s becoming stronger. Swimming was out of the question for us so

Cebu’s Sweet Treats: Local Delicacies

Hey guys! There’s more to Cebu than danggit, lechon, otap & dried mango when it comes to pasalubong. Unknown to many, Cebu offers a whole lot more yummy local delicacies like masareal, shakoy, salvaro, tagaktak and bibingka from mandaue and chicharon from carcar. Last Sunday titus & i decided to go to Mandaue City near [...]

Lapu-Lapu, Magellan and the Battle of Mactan

One 0f the most visited historical attraction in the province of Cebu is the Lapu-Lapu Monument and Magellan’s Shrine located in Punta Engano, Mactan Island. Travel time to reach this landmark is approximately 15 minutes from the Mactan International Airport, so it’s a good first stop for your visit if you are not too tired [...]

LAPU-LAPU CITY: Another Tarpaulin Bites The Dust

If there is something that I am proud of my city government i.e. Lapu-Lapu City  (LLC) is that our general services department (GSD) is really serious about cleaning the city especially along the national highway as compared to other Metro Cebu cities. Every morning I can see a number of ladies in their green sweatshirts [...]
