’bout Cille

Heyyyy! :)

Thank you for dropping by in this page, hope it means you had enjoyed 1 or 2 of my blog posts. :)

Written words, exploring, traveling, discovering fascinates me to no end. I have a vast collection of journals growing up and then I shifted to writing my thoughts online. My very first online journal was built in Angelfire around 2001, even then my desire to travel, explore and share my discoveries were evident lol. Then I basically forgot all about it until my friend Doi inspired me to take up blogging again last 2010.

So this is my second wind chronicling my thoughts and experiences on the web.

Penfires is a blog with aim not only to share my experiences and adventures on the road but also to help travelers and tourists find the best ways of discovering new places in the Philippines and hopefully soon Asia and the rest of the world!

Expect me to share handy tips, itinerary suggestions, hidden food havens and must see tourist spots. I also have posts regarding personal experiences and feelings, which may not interest you and you can just skip hehe. But if you do, trust me, it’ll be fun! You’ll come across my quirkiness, idiosyncrasies, and the random ramblings of a scattered mind.

I am a proud Filipina and a proud Cebuana. The eldest of three – my siblings stars on many blog posts as well as my boyfriend whom I’ve convinced to have a blog himself lol. I can be really persuasive thanks to my years in sales and customer relations hehe. I am passionate about many things, foremost is in helping Promote Philippine Tourism.

I am a super duper chocoholic, I’d be very thrilled if some readers will send me chocolates on the mail! Nope not pics of chocolates in email but the real good ones

I also love to check out new places and discover new food jaunts.  I would probably not do the daredevil types of adventures like cliff jumping, bungee jumping, or even ride Enchanted Kingdom’s space shuttle. I’m a coward when it comes to these things. I also don’t eat exotic foods. I’m a fan of Anthony Bourdain not Andrew Zimmern hehe

Oppps sorry I’m just supposed to make  a short intro of myself in this page but look how long this ‘short’ post has become hehhehe

Anyhow, thank you again for reading my blog. If you want to contact me, you can send me an email at penfires(/at)gmail.com. You can also send me suggestions on what you want to see in this lifestyle and travel blog, I will really appreciate it.

But please note that request for detailed personalize IT will most likely not be answered. The reason is that, my everydays since early 2012 have been really so busy with multiple works that I can no longer cater to this requests. What I will do instead is to post articles about Penfires’ suggested itinerary to the places I have already visited. I will try to make it as detailed as I can make it, so you can refer to it in crafting your own do it yourself travels. Thank you for understanding.

To keep abreast with what’s happening here in Penfires, please like Penfires on Facebook or follow @penfires in Twitter. Not a fan of social media sites? Worry not as you can still subscribe via email  and you’ll receive alert whenever there is a new post.

Hope you’ll come back and visit this blog again!

Yours truly,

Cille

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog and congrats on “seeing what others do not” about earning in dollars while in the Philippines. You are on the right track in your chosen field and it is really one of the best solution to minimize unemployment in our country.

I hope you tell your friends and relatives about this opportunity but also caution them that it is a business and not a hobby, so working on it everyday is a must! It’s not for the lazy ones.

Keep it up and I wish you all the success!

Thanks Manuel! I hope to do well earning money through online opportunities. Thanks for checking here too!

  2. Hello there, fellow wanderlust :)

I just would like to thank you for posting tips on commuting from Cebu airport to SM and Ayala. I have been to Cebu several times and I usually shell out 300 or 400+ pesos on taxi fare. Mahal para sa akin. I’ve always thought that no multicab is available somewhere near the airport. I might go to Cebu on September and your post is going to be a big help.
